Date - Wednesday 22nd January

Time - Mass start at 18:30, courses close 20:00.

Venue - Callendar Park ( NS905792 , Parking at the DWP offices (signposted as "Parklands" on the left side of Callendar Boulevard..

Lift shares / pick-ups - Falkirk Grahamston and Falkirk High railway stations are within running distance. Post on the event page if you need a pick-up - https://www.facebook.com/forthvalleyorienteers/

Map - 1:7500 ISOM17. Surveyed 2019 by Chris Smithard. Pre-printed on waterproof paper.

Courses - Long (approx 6km) and Short (approx 4km). Gaffling. There may also be a TD3 "Novice" course if there is any demand for this.

Entry - Email the organiser by Monday 10pm. NO CONTACT = NO MAP!

Cost - BOF/SOA members Adults £4 / Juniors/students £3. Non-members £6/£4.

Under 16s – must be accompanied by an adult at all times, unless accredited as an experienced Night orienteer (having completed at least three Night events, and achieved BOF 5* daytime status).

Timing - SportIDENT and reflective canes.

Safety - spare torch and whistle are mandatory, and wearing/carrying hooded waterproof jacket is mandatory if deemed necessary by the organiser.

Hazards - Participants may encounter members of the public, bikers, dog walkers, steep slopes, undergrowth, ditches, minor roads,, fences etc... There are deer in the park.

Participants take part at their own risk!

Note - Car parks are often close to houses and are often used by others, so please park considerately and change discreetly.

Post event food - If there is demand I will book a table at a nearby restaurant - let us know if you would like to eat afterwards.
