Final Details
Camp Place Park - Final Details Date: 20/02/22 Time: 11:00 -12:00 Location : FK17 8BW. It will be signed from the main A84. Parking is on residential roads of Camp Place and Stirling Road. Please park with consideration to the local residents but If possible please walk or bike to the event. The start/finish is in the park - walk via a footpath leading from Camp Place (this will be signed). There are no toilet facilities. For non-locals, there are free toilets at the Station Road Carpark in Callander.
Courses are all suitable for beginners and open to all ages, abilities and fitness levels. They are suitable for families with younger children. None of the courses cross any roads. £2 entry for the activity - you can do as many courses as you want to.
Very Easy:
White 1: 0.5km
White 2: 0.8km
White 3: 0.8km
All White courses will have pictures of a snow animal to find at each control site.
Easy:
Yellow 1: 1.4km
Yellow 2: 1.3km
Both Yellow courses will have some snow animal pictures and some control numbers.
For beginners there will be qualified coaches available to help. Also there are some helpful tips to read and videos to watch before coming along: Getting Started with Orienteering
SAFETY BRIEF
All participants must read the following safety briefing before attending:
Participants take part at their own risk and should not take any undue risks. Adults are responsible for the juniors that they bring with them to the event.
All participants should report to the finish as the organiser will check everyone out and back in, initiating a search for any missing participants after the closing time of 1pm.
Take care of members of the public and their dogs.
Wear suitable footwear and clothing for a Scottish March!
Please do not attend if you have covid. Please maintain social distancing from other people at all times.
