Further Information
Terrain - New area for orienteering. Mix of woods and open. Woods have interesting contour, rock and vegetation details.
Parking - In a field. Fingers crossed it doesn't rain too much this week!
Start - Adjacent to car park.
Finish - Adjacent to car park.
Courses: - Yellow - 1.5km - easy navigation. Mostly on paths. Ideal for children who haven't done any/much orienteering before.

Orange - 2.5km - moderate navigation, some controls are off the path, suitable for adult beginners and families with children who can walk for an hour

Green - 3.0km - difficult navigation, suitable for intermediate/experienced orienteers.

Blue - 4.5km - difficult navigation, suitable for experienced orienteers looking for a longer run.
Beginners welcome: if you are a novice, please choose the easiest course and an early start! Go to our home page and follow links for tips for beginners and videos showing you what to do. Ask a friendly club member at the start if you are not sure what to do.
Pre-entry using the link above - enter early to reserve a map while stocks last. Latest deadline will be 18.00 on 29th September. After that whilst map stocks last, including on the day of the event. £4 per map for junior non-members. £6 per map for adult non-members. £1 per extra map for an adult shadowing juniors (free without a map) - select Shadowing in the entry system.
Dogs are allowed but only on a lead.
