Daniel competing at EYOC2013

Daniel Stansfield Podiums for GB at European Youth Orienteering Championships

Daniel Stansfield was selected to compete for Great Britain in the M16 category at EYOC 2013 and reached the podium on the third and final day of competition. This is a serious junior competition with the top runners from over 30 nations competing in MW16/18. Sprint, long and relay competitions provide an experience of international competition.

Gareth at Glencoe on the West Highland Way Race

Caroline Smilie 1932-2013

Caroline Smillie died in Stirling Community hospital on Thursday 2nd May 2013 aged 81 years. Caroline had suffered a series of strokes since last Christmas.

Caroline was one of the early stalwarts of FVO and continued as a key club member for more than 30 years. Caroline was an Arts and Crafts teacher at McLaren High School in Callander and, with Liz Youngson another McLaren teacher, latched on to orienteering as something that interested her and could interest and inspire schoolchildren

Daniel Selected for British Talent Development Camp

FVO's Daniel Stansfield has been selected as one of 32 athletes to attend the British Orienteering Federation Talent Development Coaching Camp that will take place at Badaguish Outdoor Centre this summer.

Goddard Defends British Middle Distance Title

UK Orienteering League Entries Open

What's On

Hi All ! Here are details of regular activities in the FVO area.

Mon 6:15pm Pilates/Conditioning St Mary's Church Hall, Dunblane This session is open to all and lasts for about 1 hour. £2 per person.

Tue 6:30pm Ladies only run from Stirling Uni, led by Louise. A chance to get in a mixed ability training session for all aspiring ladies.

Ochil Hillrunners meet for interval training at 6pm at the Gannochy sports centre. High quality training!

Wed 5-7pm Sometimes there's an evening run and pub meet Look out for emails about these!
