Callander Community Hydro Fund

Some amazing news breaking today that the club has received a four figure grant from the Callander Community Development Trust, via their Hydro Fund, to help promote the sport in the Callander and Kilmahog areas.

The fund was inaugurated in 2014, using monies created by an innovative scheme whereby the town generates electricity for the national grid, using local waterways, and then re-invests its profits into local projects for community benefit.

Expect to see a sharp increase in orienteering activities in the Callendar area soon, with the possibility of a new Permanent Course there, and some newly-mapped areas.
