In the fabulous setting of Stirling Castle, the Stirling Sports Awards 2011 hosted by Active Stirling, ClubSport Stirling and University of Stirling recognised the outstanding achievements, efforts and commitment of Stirling’s sports clubs, teams, athletes, coaches and volunteers.
Hazel Dean was given the award of "Master sports person of the year", beating off competition from other nominees from Stirling Triathlon Club, the Cambusbarron Karate Club and the Stirling Rowing Club.
