Forth Valley Orienteers

FVO juniors were instrumental in helping the West area team to secure victory in the Inter Area competition on 29 / 30 October. This is the first time the West has won this since anyone can remember! The dominance of the North has finally been broken – hurrah!!

Strong runs by all our relay teams kept us in contention overnight, with a three way tie between the East, West and North areas. This left the competition wide open for the individual event on Sunday. Excellent performances by all our FVO juniors, in combination with others from Ecko, Ayroc and Clyde delivered a convincing win, to the surprise and delight of all Westies concerned. Representing FVO were Frances Brown, Daniel Stansfield, Clare Stansfield, Grace Molloy, Ben Parkinson and Peter Molloy.
