Clare on the Podium at the World Schools

Clare Stansfield finished in a superb 3rd place in the Middle Distance Race at the World Schools Orienteering Championships on 17 April in Portugal.

Clare and Daniel Stansfield from FVO were representing Scotland at the Championships in Portugal from 15-21 April.

Clare was an excellent 3rd in the Middle Distance and 6th in the Long Distance race, while Daniel came 7th in the Middle and Long Distance races, missing out on a podium position by a total of nine seconds.

Daniel said of the competition, "Brilliant week in Portugal. Really pleased with my races with the long being an incredibly tough race."
