FVO Safeguarding Policy

Club Welfare

The welfare of everyone who comes Orienteering is taken very seriously whatever their age but we are particularly keen to ensure that juniors can participate in a safe and secure environment, and are committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children in our care. Forth Valley Orienteers (FVO) fully comply with and adhere to the Scottish Orienteering Association Child Protection Policy and guidelines on the Scottish Orienteering website. FVO coaches and other volunteers who have direct contact with children (under 18) are all required to be members of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.

Anyone who has any concerns about child safety or wellbeing, or any potential new coaches or volunteers should contact the club welfare officer.
