Further Information
The event parking is at Braco Cemetery car park just on the right as you start to enter the village.
Entries – No pre-entry required, just enter and pay on the night.
Courses
Long course (optimal route 4.2 km)
Short course (optimal route 3.3 km)
U16s
U16s are welcome but need to be accompanied by an adult as the courses involve several road crossings.
Map – Scale 1:5,000 2.5m contours. Minor updates 2019
Terrain - mainly tarmac but some paths and courses visit Ardoch Roman Fort so studded shoes recommended. One route choice option is past Braco bowling club - please respect members and of course avoid the bowling green.
Timing System – SPORTIdent will be used. Touch free punching will be activated.
Cost – FVO members: £4.00 seniors / £3.00 juniors
Non-FVO members: £6.00 seniors / £4.00 juniors
M/W 20 and below plus students qualify for the junior fee
Starts – registration and start times will be available from 17:30 to 18:45
Courses Close – 19:30. All participants should report to the finish by that time.
Social – There is an option for Braco cafe to open late (till around 8.30) and provide soup and hot sandwiches, Please let me know by email (rogergoddard74@gmail.com) so I can confirm numbers with the cafe.
Safety Info - Both courses cross the main road though Braco and traffic can be driving fast especially at each end, so watch out for traffic. Please also watch out for members of the public, dogs and cyclists.
