Further Information

Come along and try orienteering at Linlithgow Peel and raise money for Aspire Linlithgow

Orienteering is a friendly sport that welcomes beginners of all ages. One of our volunteers will explain what to do. You will be given a map with a course printed on it. Your challenge is to navigate to each of the controls (marked with Orange and White flags).

Whilst many people try to get round the course as quickly as they can, others are happy to walk round more slowly - all speeds are welcome.

If you haven’t been orienteering for a while, come and try using the new electronic timing system!

Provisional details:

Short courses of 2km (Yellow technical difficulty) suitable for newcomers, beginners, families and juniors of all ages. Open to club members and non-members.

There will be a FUN maze next to the start/finish, so try your luck in the twists and turns!

Start times between 11am – 12 noon (course closes at 1pm)

Start at Mary Queen of Scots statue, outside St Michael’s Parish Church and Linlithgow Palace.

£5 per map. Enter online by Thursday 7th to guarantee your map. Sign up here.

(A limited number of maps will be available for entry on the day)
